Grandpa's 1979 GMC Heavy Half got the 5/7 lowering kit. Easy install. Quality parts. I did have to install a small spacer for the stock ralleys to clear the steering arm. Truck looks and feels great! The 5/7 inches was exactly the static drop I wanted. I knew I would want to go further if I started with just a 3/5 or even 4/6 drop. Do it right the first time. This truck already ran perfectly. The truck rides and drives so much better now! I went ahead and added new 1/2 ton leafs along with the new shocks and springs in this kit. Next Ill be adding some new tubular control arms and then Ill start on the body rust.
